Dual Diploma

Since 2023 Gimnasio Obregon has added to their many academic benefits the Dual Diploma which has opened students to countless learning possibilities. The Dual Diploma is a program that allows Colombian students to get an American bachelor’s degree. During three years Obregon students take 6 subjects related to Anglo-Saxon literature and American history and politics, they study these courses online with Advantages School International. While studying students strengthen their English proficiency and develop critical thinking skills. Also, they explore their knowledge by working on the Lincoln Learning platform which provides students with the necessary information and content they need to achieve their goal.

Currently, 15 students are taking the program, 5 of them almost finishing this experience that offers the opportunity to obtain preferential admission to Nevada University and guaranteed transfer to the following universities after 2 years online with TMCC: CSU San Francisco, University of Hawaii, SUNY Plattsburgh, Portland State University, University of Oregon, and much more. If you are interested in becoming part of the Dual Diploma program, you should sit an exam that evaluates the 4 skills in English (speaking, listening, writing, and reading) and B1 activities. In addition, you can start this experience in eighth or ninth grade. This is the opportunity for you to improve your English, and your knowledge and start building your future.
